Ankle Pain

From ankle sprains and tendon injuries to everything in between, we have seen it all. There are many reasons why pain might occur in this area, ranging from osteoarthritis, previous ankle sprains, tendon problems, bursitis, and even heel pain in children, so the first step is to have an initial appointment. At this appointment we will carry out a detailed examination, go through your history, make a diagnosis and recommend a treatment plan. The treatment plan is personalised to you, aiming to get your pain under control and then try to prevent it from reoccurring.

Treatments that can help with ankle injuries include strength and exercise work, so we might recommend a Move Forward programme, footwear advice, insoles (foot orthoses), taping, injections, and potentially an ankle brace.

Ankle pain can be far more than just an ankle sprain, sometimes it can really impact on your mobility, stopping you from getting out and about, or doing the activities that you love. Our expert team is here to help and advise on the best treatment options for your personal circumstances. For foot and ankle issues, please book an initial appointment with Nick Knight.
