Body Strength Analysis

We developed this appointment for people that don’t have a current injury. It may be that your son has sporadic aches and pains after playing football, that you are noticing that you’re not as fit or active as you used to be, or just that you want to improve your balance, strength and activity levels.

Strength is key to keeping active and reducing the potential for injury. At this appointment we go through your history, discuss your activity levels and future aims. We then carry out some targeted tests and strength testing, which enables us to advise on a route forwards for you.

The Body Strength Analysis appointment can be booked with either Dave or Jess, our rehab experts, at our main Romsey clinic or the Winchester Clinic.

This is a proactive appointment, aimed at anyone that feels they are in need of some specialist advice and improvement. It is personalised to you and whether you are a teenager or in your 80’s, we will work with you to help you achieve your goals.

Helping you be proactive with your health

Is this you?

NK Active 053

What happens at a body strength analysis?

Like everything at NK Active, we start with a pre-assessment questionnaire, including the international physical activity questionnaire, so that we can get an idea of your current health, activity levels and your goals.

We then review your answers and goals, and move onto some tests for the whole body, including some movements that we all do on a daily basis.

We then provide a personalised written report, with our findings and recommendations to help you #getactivestayactive and #moveforward. This may include our moving forward rehabilitation programme.

What tests are involved?

The tests focus on the whole body, looking at tasks we use in every day life, covering :

Some of the tests are related to strength, such as how much weight you can pick up off the floor, (as demonstrated by Nick) others use our hand-held dynamometer to give an objective view of your strength.

Other tests relate more to flexibility and balance, such as can you squat down and touch your toes? How much flexibility and strength is there in your back, and many more.
